"Burliuk-Grandiosar" art project gathered about 100 works by Russian and foreign artists in Ufa

Opening of the "Burliuk-Grandiosar" art project, which will bring together about 100 works of Russian and foreign artists, will be held today in Ufa, in the N. Latfullin Museum of Contemporary Art, beginning at 18.00.

The project is dedicated to one of the most famous artists of our republic - David Burliuk.

The "Burliuk-Grandiosar" is the name invented by Burliuk himself. It was such a program, which included both painting and poetic texts. From 1914 to 1918 he lived in Ufa, now exactly 100 years from the time when he packed his bags and emigrated. He went to Zlatoust, to the Sibirian cities with the "Grandiosar" program", the Director of the Open Projects Center, Art Director of the Moscow Public Foundation for the Support of Culture and Contemporary Art Mikhail Roshnyak told the Bashinform News Agency.

The project was realized due to the director of the N. Latfullin Museum of Contemporary Art, the People’s Artist of Bashkortostan Vasil Hannanov. The project was also supported by the Representative Office of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation.

The "Burliuk-Grandiosar" art project will be held in Bashkortostan from June 28 to August 31, 2018 and will consist of art performances, an expedition to Bashkir places of David Burliuk and an exhibition of works by avant-garde artists from Bashkortostan, Moscow, Milan, Berlin, Toronto.
