Miras Song and Dance Ensemble will perform at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris

UFA, 16 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Ufa "Miras" Folklore Song and Dance Ensemble will perform at the UNESCO Headquarters within the framework of the International Festival "Dances and Music of the World".
The "Dances and Music of the World" International Festival is the second most important project of CIOFF. It will be held on June 29 in Paris under the patronage of the UNESCO Directorate-General in Hall 1 of the UNESCO Headquarters and timed to the 5th anniversary of the event.
The guests and spectators of the festival are representatives of delegations from UNESCO member states, embassies of different countries, as well as residents of Paris.
According to the press-service of the ensemble, Miras and other tour participants will set off for the CIOFF festival tour of France from June 30 to July 15 - the Festival of Romans/Isere and the Festival of Segre - the favorite tourist sights.
Among the participants of the festival are only eight strongest teams from Nigeria, Chile, Argentina, Nicaragua, France, Estonia and Saudi Arabia. The CIOFF President Philippe Bossan invited the only team from Russia - the Miras Song and Dance Ensemble.
"The participation of the team in the festival program "Dances and Music of the World" will be a presentation of the culture and art of Bashkortostan on the eve of the World Folklore Festival-2020. The Miras performance at the international CIOFF festivals will serve as a bright example of conditions created in our country to preserve and develop traditional cultures of Russian peoples as guarantees of spiritual and social stability", Tamara Purtova, the director of the Russian National House of Folk Arts named after V.D. Polenov, stated.
The creative composition of the ensemble makes it possible to fulfill the main condition of the CIOFF events - the performance of live music without phonograms.
