Concert in memory of poet Evgeny Evtushenko is organized in Ufa

UFA, 13 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Ufa, a concert dedicated to the memory of the poet Evgeny Evtushenko (1932-2017) is organized. The event will be held at the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall on April 18, beginning at 19.00.

The National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan in memory of the poet will play Symphony No. 13 ("Babiy Yar") by Dmitry Shostakovich. It is based on five poems by Evtushenko: Babiy Yar, Humor, In the Store, Fears, Career. The first performance of the symphony was held in Moscow on December 18, 1962, under the direction of Kirill Kondrashin.

This evening a bass choir of the T. Saifullin State Academic Choir of the Republic of Bashkortostan takes part in the concert (art director and chief conductor - laureate of the Sh. Ibrahimov Open Republican Contest, laureate of the Sh. Babich State Republican Youth Prize Alsu Khasbiullina). The soloist will be Yuri Monchak (bass, Mikhailovsky Theater of St. Petersburg). The symphony will be conducted by the art director of the orchestra, Honored Artist RB Raushan Yakupov.
