Exhibition of antique items from grandmothers’ chests opens in Ufa

UFA, 2 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. From March 29 to June 29, the Ancient Ufa Museum-Reserve invites you to visit a new exhibition "Grandmother's Chest" from the funds of the branch of the Museum of Architecture of Bashkortostan.

The "Grandmother's Chest" is a collective image of objects, which for decades have been carefully preserved in our families. Visitors of the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the historical past, the traditional way of life and customs of Ufa residents, the history of the city, local history, and culture of the peoples of Bashkortostan.

The basis of the exposition is the original antique items from the museum's funds. The exhibition features elements of the traditional interior reconstruction, garments and headgear, hand-loom, samples of folk embroidery, towels, dishes, napkins, bargeboard and handicraft tools.
