"Pink Panther" headliners: who will come to Ufa for jazz festival?

UFA, 23 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Bashkir State Philharmonic Society informed about participants of the 22nd International Jazz Festival "The Pink Panther" in Ufa. The festival will be held from 6 to 8 April. The audience is waiting for a meeting with Russian and international musicians.

Each of the three days of the festival was commented by the Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, art director of the "Pink Panther" festival and Pop-Jazz Orchestra Oleg Kasimov.

The headliner of the festival and of the first day is an outstanding American trumpeter, John Marshall.

The first day of the festival will feature Lyudmila Swarovskaya, a vocalist from Yaroslavl, who has worked in Moscow for a long time. The Russian jazz singer entered the prestigious long-list of the Grammy Academy of Music in 2017, she is the founder of the international vocal jazz competition-festival "Jazz Birds", the founder and head of the studio of pop-jazz vocal "Prizvanie".

Nikita Boldyrev, an acoustic guitar performer, is both as a classical and a jazz musician. In 2006, he was awarded a state prize for the support of talented youth under the Presidential Decree.

The headliner of the second day is a singer from Italy Greta Panettiere. In 2015, she won the "JAZZIT AWARD" as one of the best Italian jazz performers. The second day will also feature a Yekaterinburg trombonist Vitaly Vladimirov and "Orlan" ethno-jazz ensemble led by the famous saxophonist Oleg Kireev.

The "Pink Panther" will be closed with a gala concert on April 8. On the last day of the festival, an enchanting performance of the most famous Russian jazzman - People's Artist of Russia, saxophonist, pianist, bandleader, composer, producer, organizer of jazz festivals and owner of Russian-American jazz label Butman Music Igor Butman is expected.

The gala concert will again feature participants of the second day of the festival - Greta Panettiere and Andrea Sammartino.

Every evening after the concerts traditional jam sessions are planned in the Ufa jazz club. The beginning will be at 22.00.
