Ilya Govzich, Bolshoi Theater soloist, will perform in "Tosca" opera stage at Bashkir Theater

The invited soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia and the Moscow Musical Theater Helikon Opera, the artist of the Saratov Opera and Ballet Theater, laureate and diploma of international competitions Ilya Govzich will play a role of Kavaradossi in Tosca opera by Giacomo Puccini.

The performance will be shown on January 25, the press service of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater reported.

The Ilya Govzich’s repertoire includes leading parts in the operas by W.A. Mozart, J. Verdi, J. Puccini, J. Bizet, R. Leoncavallo, M. Glinka, A. Borodin, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, P. Tchaikovsky, C. Taneev, D. Shostakovich, etc. He performs in the theaters of Bologna, Rome, Ezi and São Paulo, as well as in the P. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, participates in major international festivals held in Russia and abroad.

The lead role in the Tosca opera will be performed by the Honored Artist RB Larisa Akhmetova, the Scarpia role – by the Honored Artist of Russia and People's Artist RB Rail Kuchukov. Artem Makarov, the chief conductor of the theater, the Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" will stand on the conductor's podium.
