New rules for granting million grants to cultural projects are introduced in Bashkiria

UFA, 7 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Bashkortostan, new rules for granting grants of the Head of the Republic to support the most significant creative projects in the field of theatrical, musical, choreographic art and cinematography were approved. The corresponding resolution was signed on December 6 by the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov.
From now on, the grants will be provided on a competitive basis in a form of subsidies to state and municipal budgetary and autonomous institutions. The grants can be provided for creation and display of new productions (opera, ballet, performance, musical, concert, show program, film); perpetuating memory of prominent figures; preservation of cultural heritage, promotion of culture and art achievements of Bashkortostan in the Russian Federation and abroad.
The total amount of grants remains the same - 90 million rubles. Annually the following grants are awarded to the creative collectives of the republic on a competitive basis:
2 grants - per 13.5 million rubles;
5 grants - per 9.0 million rubles;
2 grants - per 4.5 million rubles;
3 grants - per 1.8 million rubles;
4 grants - per 900 thousand rubles.
The commission on awarding grants is headed by the Deputy Prime Minister RB Salavat Sagitov. Members of the competitive commission cannot be participants of the competition.
