World-famous photographer introduced teams from Bashkortostan on his website

UFA, 23 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The official photographer of the World Folklore Festival-2016 Diego Tabares from Colombia created a site dedicated to this grandiose event that took place in Mexico. Among several thousand invited guests, creative collectives of Bashkortostan performed in Zacatecas: Faizi Gaskarov’s Folk Dance Ensemble and ethno-rock band "Argymak". The photo artist brightly presented on his website the collectives from Bashkortostan among the photos of people's artists from 50 countries of the world, according to the official World Folklore Festival -2020 on "VKontakte".

The International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Traditional Arts (CIOFF) has been operating since 1970, since 2012 it has been an official partner of UNESCO. Its main goal is to preserve and promote traditional culture and folklore.

The World Folklore Festival is part of the official events of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF). Traditionally, it involves about three thousand artists from 60-80 countries.

The first Folklore Festival was held in 1996 in Holland, the second — in 2000 in Japan. The third place for conducting the folklore was Hungary. In 2012, the fourth CIOFF World Folklore Festival was held in South Korea. The country hosting the World Folklore-2016 was Mexico. The Folklore Festival 2020 will be held in Russia in the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Ufa.
