Bashkortostan Culture Days were started in German city of Halle

In the German city of Halle, the Days of Culture of Bashkortostan, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the twin cities of Ufa and Halle, and the 20th anniversary of the "Friends of Bashkortostan" society were launched on November 20. The events will also take place in the cities of Dresden and Leipzig and will end on November 23, the main public relations specialist "Office Group of the Republic of Bashkortostan" Elena Aryamnova told Bashinform News Agency.

The delegation of Bashkortostan Republic was headed by Salavat Sagitov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB. Amina Shafikova, Minister of Culture of the republic, the Chairman of the regional public organization "Cultural and Educational Union of Germans RB "Wiedergeburt" Leonid Kasper, the Chairman of the National-cultural autonomy of the Germans of the Republic of Bashkortostan, deputy head of the Ufa administration Syntimir Bayazitov also took part in the official visit.

The Consul General of the Russian Federation in Leipzig Andrey Dronov, heads of the parliament and department of culture of the Saxony-Anhalt Land participated in official events dedicated to the anniversary dates. The parties outlined measures to strengthen cultural cooperation.

The meeting discussed the necessity to resume cooperation between Saxony-Anhalt and Bashkortostan in a region to region format and improve communication with compatriots living in Germany.

The delegation of the republic also took part in the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition and the jubilee week. Dances and songs of the peoples of Bashkortostan were performed by the artists of the H.Akhmetov Bashkir State Philharmonic Society and the Gaskarov’s State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble. The ethnic musical film "Etegan" was also shown.

Representatives of the republic got acquainted with the work of the university clinic of the Halle-Wittenberg University. At the meeting with the leadership of the university hospital, the prospects for cooperation between the university and the healthcare institutions of our region and the signing of an agreement on cooperation with Bashkir State Medical University were discussed.

On November 21, in Halle, the delegation of Bashkortostan took part in the opening of the commemorative plaque of the Bashkir playground made in the 80s of the last century by the students of the art and graphic faculty of Bashkir Pedagogical University to the city of Halle.

Salavat Sagitov also got acquainted with the employment system organization of the city of Dresden. The delegation laid the flowers to the memorial sign "Severnye Amury", who took part in a foreign campaign of the Russian army in 1813-14.

Representatives of the republic also got acquainted with educational organizations and cultural institutions work.
