Our countrywoman, film director Evgenia Lapteva came to Ufa from Hollywood

UFA, 1 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Our countrywoman Evgenia Lapteva came to Ufa fr om Hollywood. She works as a film editor at one of the film companies in Los Angeles.

Eugenia comes from the village of Ishlya, Beloretsk district, wh ere she spent every summer in her childhood. 11 years ago, Evgenia went to Europe - first to London, then to Stockholm.

"There I was invited to star in a short film "I'll die without you". Then I realized that I wanted to be in a film industry. I moved to the United States, entered the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles", she says. "After graduating from the academy I could already work in any part of the film industry – as a cameraman, and script writer, producer, and a film editor".

According to Evgenia, she edited two feature films with participation of the famous actor Bruce Willis "Reprisal" and "Act of Violence". Both films will be released globally in 2018. Now the film with Sylvester Stallone "Escape Plan 3" is in progress.

"In the future, I'm thinking of returning to my homeland. I would like to try to film a documentary in Russia. I know that the 100th anniversary of the republic will be celebrated in Bashkortostan in 2019, perhaps my work will be connected with this date", Evgenia says. She is sure that her experience will be useful at home.
