Bashkir film director received special prize at Documentary Film Festival in Istanbul

UFA, 2 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Bashkir film director Kirsten Gainet received a special prize named after Tefik Ismailov at the International Documentary Film Festival "Turkic World" in Istanbul.
The plot of the "Theater of the Seven Girls" film is the story of the Salavat theater, which survived the war, but managed to keep operating due to the brave and talented actresses. The director worked on the film for more than two years.
Kirsten Gainet (Gainetdinova) is a director, producer and cameraman. She lives in Istanbul. She was born in the village of Inzer of the Republic of Bashkortostan. In 2005 she moved to Ufa. In 2007, she starred in the "Scratch" feature film. In 2009, she entered St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts the photography department and film and photo art department. She is fond of art photography, the author of two solo exhibitions. In 2014, the debut film by Kirsten Gainet "Live, soldier, live" about the Bashkir Chernobyl liquidator became a prize-winner of international and all-Russian festivals.
Another film from Russia - "Bashkir Women's Costume" by "Bashkortostan" film studio (director Tansulpan Burakayeva) was presented at the film festival in Istanbul.
