Bashkir delegation took part in Day of Estonia Peoples

UFA, 2 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Every year Estonia celebrates the Day of the Peoples of Estonia and the Day of Remembrance. This year, festive events were held from September 17 to 30 in several cities of the Baltic state. The association of the Estonian nations organized an ethno-fair and concert in Tallinn at the Town Hall Square, where the singers of the groups entering the association performed. At the fair, dishes and drinks from various Estonian national cuisines, as well as handmade folk crafts were offered.

This year, guests from Bashkortostan - Victor Khakimov and poetess Larisa Abdullina - took part in the events. Local activists of the Bashkir society played Bashkir melodies on the national Bashkir musical instrument kurai and kubyz.

Guests from Bashkortostan visited the city of Paldiski: museums, memorial places, a monument to Salavat Yulaev, Jagala Falls and other Estonian sights. On September 26, the day of the death of Salavat Yulaev, the surah from the Koran was read.
