Ufa residents are invited to American singer Mala Waldron’s jazz concert

UFA, 25 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Today, on September 25, the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society invites you to spend an evening with the jazz diva Mala Waldron and the Oleg Kasimov’s quartet.

The famous American jazz singer and pianist Mala Waldron will perform in Ufa for the first time. She is from a jazz dynasty, her father - Mel Waldron was a famous jazzman. The performer has wide vocal abilities; she performs not only jazz, but also R&B, and soul. Her repertoire, in addition to the songs of her own composition, includes classical jazz compositions. Mala performed in France, Belgium, China, Malaysia and Italy, repeatedly toured over Russia, in October 2015 was a guest of the "Golden Hit" festival in Mogilev.

This evening as part of the "Woman & Jazz" program the Oleg Kasimov’s quartet will perform on the stage together with the American singer. The jazz band performs at major venues with the leading jazz vocalists of the world level touring in Ufa. Each participant is a famous musician: Oleg Kasimov (saxophone), Igor Atapin (keyboard), Felix Aksenov (bass guitar) and Anton Antonov (drums).
