"From Ufa with Love" film opened 5th Yakutsk International Film Festival

UFA, 11 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The "From Ufa with Love" film by the Bashkir filmmaker Ainur Askarov opened 5th Yakutsk International Film Festival.

"The choice of this film for the opening ceremony was not accidental – the Russian regional films have won recognition among viewers and film industry specialists long ago", the organizers of the festival said.

The 5th Yakutsk International Film Festival was held in Yakutsk from September 6 to 10. The main festival platform was Sakha Academic Theater named after. P. Oyunsky. The organizers are the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Union of Cinematographers of Russia. The Yakutsk International Film Festival is held to promote cultural exchange, creative cooperation between cinematographers around the world and the image policy of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The president of the film festival is the general director of the Lenfilm studio Eduard Pichugin. The competent Russian film expert, film critic Alexei Medvedev was invited as the program director. The winners of the "Golden Snow Glasses" main prize will be selected from 16 films presented in the main competition and documentary film competition.
