National Symphony Orchestra opened 26th concert season in Ufa

UFA, 30 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Ufa, the National Symphony Orchestra opened the 26th concert season. Now it is quarter of the century jubilee of the leading creative collective of our republic.
The art director and chief conductor of the orchestra Raushan Yakupov shared his plans for the season with the Bashinform News Agency reporter.
"Of course, we will have some interesting projects, in particular, "Quint" - the fifth symphony, the fifth piano concert, the fifth violin concert will be performed. The project will begin around November and will last throughout the season", the maestro said.
Raushan Yakupov noted that the popular literary and musical project "Children's Album" would be continued with a new part in the autumn.
The opening concert was dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of the composer Igor Stravinsky. The Suite from the "Pulcinella" ballet and the Russian scherzo were performed on the stage of the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall.
The listeners could also enjoy one of the outstanding pieces of the world performing repertoire - the violin concerto in A minor by Alexander Glazunov. The laureate of international competitions, participant of the programs of the St. Petersburg House of Music, brilliant violinist Stepan Starikov performed with the orchestra. In the spring of this year, Stepan Starikov became a laureate of the 6th Henri Marto International Violin Competition in Germany. The Ufa audience liked the violinist so much that the musician had to give an encore twice.
