"Miras" ensemble returned from tour over Hungary

UFA, 28 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The Ufa folklore song and dance ensemble "Miras" returned from the foreign tours. As previously reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the team represented the Russian Federation and the traditional culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan at the International Folklore Festival "Summerfest" in Hungary.
On August 14, an official opening of the festival and a parade-defile along the central streets took place in the city of Százhalombatta. There, a fair of folk arts was organized at the open festival arena - St. Stephen's Square. The Bashkir exhibition featured rich headdresses, ornaments and various souvenir products.
During the five days of the festival the performances of the ensemble took place in the Hungarian towns of Százhalombatta, Tököl, Ráckeve, Budapest, as well as aboard a ship cruising the Danube River. The performances of Ufa dancers were highly appreciated by Festival Director Joseph Sigatvari and Mayor of Százhalombatta Mihai Vezer.
Within the framework of the festival, an official meeting took place between the deputy head of the Ufa administration, Syntimir Bayazitov, and the leadership of the town of Százhalombatta. The organizational issues of the World Folklore Festival, which will be held in Ufa in 2020, were discussed at the meeting.
The international folklore festival "Summerfest" is annually held under the auspices of the International Council of Organizers of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) at UNESCO. This year, its participants were more than 700 performers from 17 countries.
