Bashkiria is represented by "Zaman" ethno-project in Russian "New Star" TV show

UFA, 31 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The "Zaman" ethno-project participates in the third season of the "New Star" TV show. The group from Moscow represents Bashkortostan. The project was filmed in May, the program will be broadcast in August.

"All May we lived in a hotel with participants from different regions. Choreographers, producers gave us classes", said the head of the Zaman group Radmir Muftakhin. "We were given a famous song, but we added a national flavor to it. Soon you'll see everything on the air".

The "New Star" is the annual All-Russian television contest of pop songs, the first ever musical contest in which 85 regions take part. The strongest vocalists of the country meet on one stage. Each of them is competing for his native land. Famous experts in the field of music choose the strongest singers. The large-scale voting of TV viewers throughout Russia determines those who will reach the final and become the winner. A feature of the show is a wide range of musical genres: from blues, rock and popular music to ethnic music.
