Historical drama about Bashkortostan partisan is among candidates for Film Fund support

UFA, 21 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The historical drama about a partisan, native of Bashkortostan Nikolay Kiselev, applies for support from the Film Fund. The defence of film projects claiming for financial support was held in Moscow, TASS reports.
Among the historical films submitted to the Film Fund is the film "Mainland" about the partisan Nikolay Kiselev who saved more than 200 Jews during the Great Patriotic War. The lead role in the film will be performed by Sergey Bezrukov.
Nikolay Kiselev was a native of Bashkortostan, at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War he volunteered for the front, took part in the Battle for Vyazma, defensive battles for Moscow, was taken prisoner, fled and was in the territory of Western Belarus. Kiselev became a member of the guerrilla regiment "Revenge", which protected the refugees from the settlement of Dolginovo. In August 1942, the guerrillas, together with a group of fighters, decided to withdraw civilians from the zone of occupation. This campaign lasted almost three months, as a result, two hundred lives were saved.
