UFA, 10 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Ufa will become the fourth city through which FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour-2018 will pass. A presentation of the future tour route covering 24 Russian cities, took place on the Grand Sports Arena of the Moscow Sports Complex "Luzhniki". This tour will be an analogue of the Olympic flame transfer from point to point and is organized by the International Football Federation (FIFA) in conjunction with the Coca-Cola company. At the ceremony in "Luzhniki" each of the cities was presented by this or that famous sportsman. Ufa was represented by the French footballer Marcel Desailly, world and European champion, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from Ghana.
The Trophy of the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia will start its way across the country from Moscow, from where it will be transferred to Krasnoyarsk (September 9), then to Omsk (September 15), Chelyabinsk (September 20), Ufa (September 26), Perm (October 3), Saransk (October 6), Yaroslavl (October 11), Kaliningrad (October 12), Tula (October 17), Kursk (October 20), Voronezh (October 26), Saratov (November 1), Volgograd (November 8), Krasnodar (November 14) and Sochi (November 22). In 2018, it will reach Vladivostok (May 1), Novosibirsk (May 5), Yekaterinburg (May 9), Samara (May 13), Kazan (May 17), Nizhny Novgorod (November 21), Rostov-on-Don (November 25 ), St. Petersburg (May 29) and Moscow (June 3). On June 14, 2018 the capital will become a city where the Trophy will finish its journey.
At the ceremony of the route announcing it became known that the tour will also pass through the territory of more than 50 countries and will become the longest trip of the Trophy in its history. The Trophy is the main prize for winning the World Cup. Since 1974, the Trophy exists in a modern form. The World Cup 2018 will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 11 Russian cities: World Championship will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in 11 cities of Russia: It will be held in Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Yekaterinburg.
Despite the fact that Ufa did not win the right to host the championship matches, it will be one of the first cities of the Trophy’s journey.
