Ufa will host first Russian-Iranian Socio-Cultural Forum

UFA, 3 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On July 6 and 7, the first Russian- Iranian Socio-Cultural Forum will be held in Ufa. It is organized by the Federal Agency for National Affairs and the Government of Bashkortostan with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Federal Agency for Tourism.

The delegation of Iran led by the Special Assistant to the President of Iran for Ethnic and Religious Minorities' Affairs Ali Younesi will arrive at the forum. The Russian side will include representatives of the Presidential Administration, heads of federal agencies, State Duma deputies, heads of regions, representatives of the expert community, the press service of the Ministry of Culture RB informs.

The forum dedicated to interregional cooperation should help people of the two countries to understand better the culture and national traditions of each other. The Federal Agency for National Affairs of Russia and the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan will organize the section "Harmonization of Interethnic and Inter-Confessional Relations", where issues of preservation and development of national traditions, prevention of extremism manifestations based on nationality and religion will be discussed. At a section, which will be held by the Rosmolodezh agency, the prospects of Russian-Iranian youth cooperation will be discussed. A section of Rosturizm will be devoted to the issues of interaction between the two countries in the sphere of tourism. In addition, negotiations will be held between the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the business delegation of the Iranian province of Mazandaran.
