Art-Ufa-2017 Forum was opened in Ufa

UFA, 13 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On the Day of Russia the Art-Ufa-2017 Forum was opened in Ufa.

This year, a biennale on the territory of VDNKh-Expo presents the best works of about 300 artists from Bashkortostan, the Volga region, the Urals, Siberia, as well as Moscow, St. Petersburg, the cities of the USA, Canada and Israel. The exhibition area of more than 12 thousand square meters housed about two thousand paintings, graphics, sculptures and objects of decorative and applied art. The special hall of the forum is dedicated to children's art.

Creativity of different styles and directions is presented for visitors of the exhibition. Guests of the forum will be able to see both the works of contemporary artists and art heritage pieces. It is planned to organize several special presentations of works from museums, galleries and creative associations. One of the important events of the forum is the exposition of the A.S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts "Pushkin’s 21st century".

Art critics and scholars of the M.V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum were again engaged in selection of works for the forum and carrying out the necessary artistic expertise this year.

"The Art-Ufa in 2015 was organized as a holiday, and significant academic material was collected. One of the results of the previous forum was creation of the Museum of Modern Art, its collection is already being formed, and a purchasing commission was organized. On the second floor you will be able to see the exposition lines of the Museum of Modern Art", said the deputy director of .V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum Svetlana Ignatenko.

The Art-Ufa-2017 Forum includes musical venues, master classes, creative workshops of artists, and interesting lectures.
