Bashkir Drama Theatre will show sensational Antigone performance at Nowruz Festival in Kazan

UFA, 7 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The 13th International Theatre Festival of Turkic Nations "Nowruz" was opened in Kazan. On Thursday, June 8, the program of the festival includes the "Antigone" performance by the M. Gafuri Bashkir Academic Drama Theatre. Today Ufa actors led by the art director Oleg Khanov left for the capital of Tatarstan.

The premiere of the tragedy of Jean Anouil was held in Ufa in October 2016. It was staged by the director of G. Kamal Tatar Theatre Farid Bikchantaev. The performance aroused heated discussions among Ufa viewers. It is one of the most anticipated at the Nowruz Festival - it entered the Top-9 best works compiled by the program director of the festival, theatre critic Niyaz Iglamov for the Tatar online magazine "Inde".

As Zilya Sagadeeva, the art director assistant informs, Ziliya Sitdikova will play the lead role in "Antigone" in the framework of the festival.

The festival schedule includes the performance "On the Night of the Lunar Eclipse" on the tragedy of the national poet of Bashkortostan, the playwright Mustai Karim. The production is brought by the theatre from Naberezhnye Chelny. The well-known Ufa theatre researcher Dina Davletshina is among the board of critics of the festival.
