Residents and guests of Paris watched Sabantuy from Eiffel Tower

UFA, 29 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. A Sabantuy national festival was held in the centre of Europe in Paris, on the Champs de Mars. Contests, sports competitions, including national kuresh wrestling, dancing, singing, playing the kurai and tasting national dishes could be observed from the Eiffel Tower on this day.

As the public figure Fluza Khairullina told, representatives of different countries, including Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Estonia, took part in the international event. The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo also arrived at the festival.

Sabantuy is a holiday celebrating the end of spring field works. It is marked in most Russian regions and in more than 20 countries. On June 4, the Sabantuy festival is planned in Geneva (Switzerland) and Klaipeda (Lithuania). In Estonia, the Sabantuy will be held in mid-July.
