21st International Rudolf Nureyev Ballet Art Festival opens in Ufa
UFA, 23 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Today the 21st Rudolf Nureyev International Ballet Art Festival opens in Ufa. The organizer of the festival is the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The Festival program is the following:
May 23 - "Crane Song" by L. Stepanov - Z. Ismagilov;
May 25 - "Romeo and Juliet" by S. Prokofiev (Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre);
May 26 - "Swan Lake" by P. Tchaikovsky with participation of guest soloists of the St. Petersburg Mussorgsky Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre - Mikhailovsky Theatre;
May 29 - "Esmeralda" by C. Pugni (Chelyabinsk M. Glinka Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre);
May 30 - "La Bayadère" by L. Minkus with participation of invited soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and the Slovak National Theatre;
June 1 - "Corsair" by A. Adan with participation of invited soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia;
June 2 - Gala Concert of ballet art stars.
The beginning of all performances is at 19.00.
The first evening will be a premiere of a new stage version of the "Crane Song" ballet by L. Stepanov - Z. Ismagilov. The project was implemented using the funds of the grant of the Head of the Republic.
