Sabantuy will unite Bashkirs and Tatars of Switzerland and Europe

UFA, 17 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Sabantuy national holiday will unite Bashkirs and Tatars of Switzerland and Europe. The event will be held in the park of the "Silk Road" restaurant in Geneva on June 4.

Guests will be offered a rich concert program. Gulnur Karabulatova (vocal, Bashkortostan), Aigul Khairi (Tabi, vocal, Kazan), "Miras" ensemble (Tatarstan) will come to the Swiss Sabantuy from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, the Bashkir kurai will be played. There will be artists from Switzerland also - dancers, vocalists with compositions in Tatar, Bashkir and Russian languages.

The Sabantuy is celebrated in Switzerland not for the first year. Last year, Tatars and Bashkirs from France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain and various cities of Switzerland, as well as from Russia - Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, came to Switzerland for the first time.

"Sabantuy not only unites the Tatars and Bashkirs of Switzerland, but also allows us to present our centuries-old culture and keep our traditions. People from Russia and the CIS who live in Switzerland and local people usually gather at the holiday", one of the organizers, Aisylu Yanturina-Darles said.

The Sabantuy national holiday is organized on the initiative and funds of the non-profit association of Tatars and Bashkirs of Switzerland "Yuldash", founded in 2015, with the assistance of the trade and economic representation of Tatarstan. The holiday is supported by partners - association of Russian-speaking diasporas living in Switzerland, and the "Silk Road" restaurant.
