Mexican ballet will come to Bashkiria for "Berzemlek-Sodruzhestvo" International Festival

UFA, 12 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. Bashkortostan is preparing for the International Festival of National Cultures "Berzemlek -Sodrugestvo". This year the festival will be held from June 7 to 12. The guests of the festival will be welcomed in Duvan, Kigi, Mechetlino, Salavat, Belokatay districts of the republic and Ufa.
A folkloric ballet of the Mexico City will take part in the festival. The ballet troupe was founded in 1987 and consists of 120 dancers aged 18 to 32 years. Its organizer, director and choreographer is Mrs. Dolores Olivia Menchaca. Also, within the framework of the festival, a group of Mariachi (dancers) headed by Mr. Francisco Ortega, will visit Bashkortostan. These Mexican artists are widely known not only in their own country, but also abroad. They are participants of many international festivals and festivals in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Israel, China, North Korea, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Costa Rica, Canada and the United States of America.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture RB, it is expected that teams from China, Estonia, South Korea, Serbia, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Iran and Kazakhstan will come to the festival "Berzemlek-Commonwealth" this summer. Artists will demonstrate the culture of their countries, folk dances, songs, traditions.
The International Festival of National Cultures "Berzemlek -Sodruzhestvo" will be held within the framework of the Federal Target Program "Culture of Russia" and preparation for the largest International Festival of Traditional Culture - World Folkloriad, which will be held in 2020 in Bashkortostan. In addition, Berzemlek is one of six international festivals in Russia, traditionally held under the auspices of the International Council of Folklore Festivals and Traditional Arts Organizations (CIOFF).
The organizers of the festival are the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian National House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenov, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republican Centre for Folk Art, the administration of Ufa and the municipal districts of Duvan, Kigi, Mechetlino, Salavat, Belokatay.
