The Buffet Crampon was founded in Paris in 1825 as a private workshop of musical instruments by the master Denis Buffet-Auger. In 1981, the company was acquired by the famous publishing group Boosey and Hawkes. In 2003, Buffet Crampon separated from the Boosey and Hawkes Group, and in 2005, it gained complete independence again. The combination of three brands - Buffet Crampon, Antoine Courtois and Besson allowed the group to keep the leading position in the market in the sector of woodwind instruments (clarinets, bass clarinets, oboes, bassoons, saxophones) and brass instruments (pipes, cornets, flugelhorns, trombones, horns , Tenor horns, baritones, euphoniums, tubes, saxophones).
