UFA, 11 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. Today, on May 11, the Polish Culture Days start in Bashkortostan. The festive events will be held within the framework of the Days of Slavic Writing and Culture and will last until the end of the week. This year they are timed to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Centre for Polish Culture and Education RB.
The concert of students of the A. Penkevich Polish Sunday School will open the celebrations in Ufa. Also today in the village of Churaevo in Mishkino district a visit to the memorial sign installed in 2013 on the site of the former location of the noble Polish clan Peslyakovs manor will take place.
On May 12, the Ufa Library No. 17 will host the exhibition of Polish folk costumes and decorative and applied art. Also a master class on arts and crafts "Folklore Fun" will be held there.
A traditional literary and music forum dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the heroic death of Janusz Korczak and his students will be held on Friday at Bashkir Pedagogical University.
On the same day, the participants of the celebrations will visit the memorial office of Leonid Vasiliev (1926-2015), professor, honourary academician of the Academy of Sciences RB, founder of Slavic studies and Polish studies in Bashkortostan.
On May 13, a concert of composer, bard, writer and local historian Sergey Krul "My songs will fly!" will take place at school of Oktyabrsky settlement in Ufa district.
At the end of the Polish Culture Days, on May 14, a master class and tasting of Polish cuisine will be held at the Polish Sunday School of Ufa.
According to the Centre for Polish Culture and Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the head of the Consular Section of the Consular Department of the Polish Republic Embassy in the Russian Federation Marek Zelinsky will arrive in the capital of our republic. The events will be attended by guests from Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Izhevsk, Chelyabinsk region.
