Ufa native Aigul Akhmetshina will take part in international vocal competitions in Moscow and Mexico

UFA, 17 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Ufa native Aigul Akhmetshina passed qualifying rounds of two prestigious international vocal competitions at once. This is the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition and the Sonora International Opera Competition Francisco Araiza.

The International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition is one of the most famous in the world, with qualifying tours in 70 cities around the world on all continents. More than one thousand people have taken part in it in recent years. For the first time in history, the final round of the competition will be held in Russia, in Moscow, on the stage of the Helikon Opera Theatre in June 2017.

The peculiarity of the Belvedere competition is a double jury consisting of a "media jury", which includes representatives of the media industry, media of different countries, and "opera jury", which includes directors and art directors of theatres, major opera managers and agents. The main prizes for the winners are theatrical engagements.

Qualifying rounds are held on the stages of famous theatres of the world, such as La Scala in Milan, Royal Opera Covent Garden in London, Semperoper in Dresden, Cape Town Opera, Grand Opera of Houston. 100-120 participants take part in the final round.

The first stage of the contest was held in St. Petersburg in early April. The subsequent tours will take place in May, in the Mexican city of Hermosillo.
