Ufa native Marsel Sabirov reached semi-final of "The New Children's Wave-2017" competition

UFA, 7 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The national selection round of the first international contest of young performers of popular music in Russia "The New Children's Wave-2017" completed in Moscow. The strict jury selected several bands, duets and solo performers for the semi-final out of more than 80 contestants. Among them there was the 12-year-old Ufa native, Marsel Sabirov. In this round, he was the single representative of Bashkortostan.

Marsel sang three songs: "The Castle of the Rain" from the repertoire of Vladimir Presnyakov, "Only You", which Sergey Lazarev performed at the Eurovision Song Contest, and the French song Stromae "Papaoutai".

The singing competition took place in several stages. Participants from all over the country sent applications to the organizing committee of the contest, which selected candidates for participation in the qualifying round.
