"Theatre Spring" festival includes opera and verbatim

UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. From April 20 to April 26, the traditional republican "Theatre Spring" festival will be held in Ufa. The festival will feature 15 performances in a variety of genres. For the first time the program includes an opera performance - "Salavat Yulaev" by Z. Ismagilov, verbatim "Nashi", a fantasy based on the Bashkir epic "Akbuzat. White Horse, Golden Bird" by A. Kortnev and S. Chekryzhov. The State Central Theatre Museum named after A. Bakhrushin (Moscow) will present a tragicomedy based on the play by Bulyakov "The Holy Cause".

All professional theatrical companies of Bashkortostan will take part in the main program of the festival. Also, the Bashkir Academic Drama Theatre will host master classes and lectures by Moscow theatre critics Alexei Kiselev and Igor Ovchinnikov.

The founders of the main theatre festival of the republic are the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Theatre Workers of Bashkortostan. The festival is held in order to preserve and develop the theatrical art of the republic, to identify the main trends in creative process of theatres, to strengthen the contacts of theatres and representatives of all major theatrical professions: actors, artists, directors, critics.The project was awarded a grant of the Head of Bashkortostan.
