Russian and world jazz stars will come to Ufa for "Pink Panther" Festival

UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. A week later, the 21st International Jazz Festival "Pink Panther" starts in Ufa. The three-day festival will traditionally gather well-known performers and fans of jazz music in the Bashkir Philharmonic Society from April 7 to 9. Today at a press conference in the Bashinform News Agency the organizers and participants of the festival told about its features and peculiarities.
The art director of the festival, Honoured Artist RB Oleg Kasimov named the headliners of the project. On the first day, the maestro of Russian jazz, multi-instrumentalist David Goloshchekin, artists of the legendary Bashkir jazz ensemble "Dustar" Marat Yuldybaev and "Orlan" Oleg Kireev, Big Band of the Philharmonic Society. The well-known Ufa jazz singer Irina Ostin is preparing to a joint performance with saxophonist Marat Yuldybaev.
Interesting programs will be presented by musicians from the USA - vocalist, guitarist and showman Alvon Johnson, vocalists Mary McBride, Daimon Danno and pianist John Spurney. On April 8, Ufa townspeople will meet with their fellow countryman - living in Germany, pianist Diaz Karimov and Moscow vibraphonist Innokenty Ivanov, who will perform with the Big Band and Oleg Kasimov’d Jazz Quartet.
The gala concert of the 21st International Jazz Festival "Pink Panther" will unite the best names of the international music festival in one place. By tradition, concert performances at the Philharmonic venues will be accompanied by jam sessions: on April 7 at the Solo restaurant, on April 8 and 9 at the Ufa Jazz Club. The beginning is at 22.00.
