Applications for 4th International Film Festival "Silver Akbuzat" are started to accept in Ufa

UFA, 28 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Applications for 4th International Film Festival "Silver Akbuzat" are started to accept in Ufa. Applications for participation in the festival are accepted until September 1, 2017.

The "Silver Akbuzat" Festival will be held in the capital of Bashkortostan in October this year. The competitive program includes full-length feature, short and documentary films. Within the framework of the film festival, creative meetings and master classes of well-known figures of cinema, Bashkir pitching of debutants, Bashkir Film Day and out-of-competition showing will take place.

The main goal of the "Silver Akbuzat" Film Festival is propaganda of spiritual and cultural values of the peoples of the world, popularization of creative work of filmmakers making films of national and ethnic origin. Competition works will be evaluated by an international jury, which will include well-known filmmakers and film critics.

The project is being implemented for a grant of the Head of Bashkortostan in the amount of 4.5 million rubles with the support of the Government RB, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Ufa administration. The partners of the festival are the Rodina cinema - the Centre of Russian Cinematography and the Bashkortostan State Concert Hall.
