Bashkir "Yatagan" band took part in international musical-ethnic project

UFA, 24 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Bashkir musicians took part in the "Turkcan" international musical and ethnic project. The "Yatagan" ethnic band composed of Ildar Shakir (yatagan, dumbyr, kubyz), Ayaz Nukhov (kyl-kubyz), Rasim Lugamanov (kahon) and Ilmir Kudabaev (throat singing, kurai) presented Bashkir instruments. Vocalists Zilia Bakhtieva and Idel Aralbaev joined the musicians.
The "Turkcan" project brought together musicians from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Bashkortostan from Russia. The idea of the project is to show the national colour of different peoples by uniting them through music. Each performer played his solo part using ethnic instruments of his people to the melody of Uzeyir Hajibeyov. Then a video was recorded in national costumes. The general director of the project was Rubail Azimov (Azerbaijan).
Filming took place in the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ufa Art Institute, in the street near the Bashkir Drama Theatre, and completed in Salavat Yulayev Square.
