Validi Library hosted an evening with Marsel Salimov, the laureate of international and Russian literary prizes, the satirical novelist. The guests of the writer were representatives of the national cultural centres of the Russian regions - Mari El, Chuvashia, Mordovia, Komi, Udmurtia, the socialist republics of the former Soviet Union - Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan , Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Lithuania, friends from Bulgaria, Japan. Poems and songs in Italian, Greek, and French were performed.
Opening the evening, the host of the Literary Salon Elvira Enikeeva noted that the name of the satirist Marsel Salimov, the author of 38 books and many works published in almost 50 languages of the world, had long become a household name for admirers of humour.
The humorist read his poems about friendship in different languages. The guests were presented numerous comic and satirical magazines in the languages of the peoples of the near and far abroad of different years of release: "Dadzis","Šluota", "Horpashtak", "Tokmak", "Chalkan", "Ara", "Mushtum", "Vozhyk" , "Kapkun", "Chayan", "Pachimysh", "Kirpi", "Chushkanzi". Photos from the business and family archive of the satirist were demonstrated.
This evening the guests of all nationalities recited humoresques and poems by the famous Bashkir satirist in their native languages published in the presented magazines.
Particular attention of Marsel Salimov was paid to his Bulgarian friends. The writer-satirist participated many times in Gabrovo festivals. He is a co-founder of the world's first Humour Society of Humans (Gabrovo, 1989), he was awarded the International Literary Prize "Aleko".
Having expressed his gratitude to the guests and the library for the evening of friendship, Marsel Salimov said that the current event was a breakthrough in a new format of meetings with fans of his creativity, a great opportunity to share the innermost feelings with his friends.
