Bashkortostan presented Shulgan-Tash historical and cultural museum project in France

UFA, 2 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Bashkortostan presented a project of historical and cultural museum complex Shulgan-Tash in France. This happened during the visit of the Bashkir delegation to the south of France. The trip was connected with a visit to the museum complexes of Lascaux and Chauvet Caves.

Employees of the Scientific and Production Centre for Protection and Use of Bashkortostan Cultural Heritage Objects acquainted with the European experience of Paleolithic paintings turning into museums and creating modern museum exhibitions. At the same time they examined the recently created exhibitions of chocolate (Valence) and wine (Bordeaux) museums.

Archaeologists and architects under the supervision of the Director of Research and Production Centre Danir Gainullin transferred to the library collections of French museums publications devoted to Bashkortostan, Shulgan-Tash cave and "Ural Batyr" epos in the French and English languages. Scientists marked the similarity of themes, images of animals and abstract signs of Shulgan-Tash Cave with European counterparts.

The project of creating Shulgan-Tash historical and cultural museum complex aroused great interest among French colleagues. The French experts supported the idea and expressed a desire to participate in this project.

The next meeting of Russian and foreign scientists will be held in the locality Murat-Tugay Burzyan Region in Bashkortostan in June 2017 at the international symposium on turning into museums and conservation of cave paintings. The well-known in Western Europe, restorer of cave paintings Alain Dalis will arrive at the summer symposium.
