"Three Letters" film by "Bashkortostan" studio was awarded special prize at Kazan festival

The "Three Letters" film by "Bashkortostan" studio was awarded the Special Jury Prize "For the original decision of genres" at Film Festival in Kazan. The film's director is Ruslan Yultaev, producer - Azamat Huzhahmetov. The "Three Letters" drama tells the audience about the events of 1941-1942, when the Soviet-German front suffered large-scale battles and a fate of the unborn person was decided in a quiet Bashkir village, far from the major cities.
The 4th International Patriotic Film Festival "Defenders of Motherland" took place in the capital of Tatarstan. Besides the Russian directors, works by directors and creative teams from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Ukraine, Iran and Serbia were presented there. More than 300 films took part in the competition.
This year the festival was dedicated to the 28th anniversary of withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan and the Day of Defender of the Fatherland. The jury was headed by the honoured artist of Russia Vladimir Demidov (Moscow). The organizers are the Veteran Charity Fund "Kind Hearts" with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Science and the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan.
