Young talents will present Bashkortostan at sixteenth Youth Delphic Games in Russia
UFA, 16 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Young talents will present Bashkortostan at the sixteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia. The quota for the region is 20 people. The selection rounds were attended by students of Secondary Special Music College, Rudolf Nureyev’s Bashkir Choreographic College, the Ufa College of Arts, Sibai College of Arts, Almuhametov’s Republican Gymnasium, Ufa Music School No.1, as well as the art schools of Oktyabrsky, Sterlitamak, Beloretsk, Sterlitamak and Belebey regions. Videos of students were viewed by a special commission.
The sixteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia will be held in Yekaterinburg on April 18-23. The Games are held with the support of the Federation Council Committee for Social Policy, the State Duma Committee for Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, the State Russian House of Folk Arts, under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of the Russian Commission for UNESCO Affairs.
The tradition of the Delphic Games originated in ancient Greece. The first modern international tournament was held in 2000. Since then the All-Russian Olympiad in Arts among the youth is qualifying for the world creative championship.
