Ildar Abdrazakov will sing in Bolshoi Theatre for first time in 20 years

UFA, 7 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The opera star Ildar Abdrazakov for the first time in 20 years of career will sing at the Bolshoi Theatre. The musical public, critics and audience eagerly await a premiere of Verdi's opera "Don Carlos". The premiere is scheduled for December 7 and 10.

Ildar Abdrazakov will be on the stage as the King of Spain, Philip II. This party he already performed in Italy and at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. After the Bolshoi Theater the singer will play it in Munich and London.

Originally it was formed a truly stellar cast: Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Hibla Gerzmava, Ekaterina Gubanova. But recently it turned out that Hvorostovsky will not come in Moscow for health reasons, and he will be replaced by Igor Golovatenko. The Canadian conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson will be on the podium.

The whole December and New Year's holidays Ildar Abdrazakov will spend in Moscow. On December 22, his performance is expected in the "Tales of Hoffmann" at the Moscow Academic Music Theatre. On December 25 at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall his fans will enjoy his Mephistopheles in "Faust" by Gounod. On December 31, at the Moscow House of Music the singer will participate in the New Year's concert by Vladimir Spivakov.
