UFA, 30 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Bashkir State Medical University will host the 5th International Festival of Languages. It will take place on December 3 in the framework of "Festival of Languages" international cultural and educational project. This was reported by the press service of the Committee for UNESCO Affairs RB.
The festival program includes a variety of activities. In addition to linguistic presentations, the festival will feature linguistic competitions, language clubs, linguistic concerts, informative lectures on linguistics, workshops and presentations of cuisine, clothing and culture of the peoples of the world.
The Organizing Committee of the 5th International Festival of Languages has received about 300 applications for participation in the event with the presentation of a wide variety of languages. The competition will involve university students of Bashkortostan - Bashkir State University, Bashkir State University branch in Sterlitamak, Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla, Bashkir State Medical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, Ufa State Aviation Technical University, as well as representatives of foreign countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, China, Korea, Congo, Cameroon, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Tajikistan, Russian regions - Tatarstan and Kabardino-Balkaria, Bashkortostan. Presentations of more than 30 languages of the peoples of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation and foreign countries are scheduled.
The organizers of the festival are the Committee of Bashkortostan for UNESCO Affairs, the Ministry of Education RB and Bashkir State Medical University. The Festival of Languages is an annual cultural and educational event, the purpose of which is to familiarize the youth and general public with the diversity of languages in the world. This festival is held for the fifth time in the republic. The project was successfully implemented in a number of cities in Russia (Cheboksary, Ulyanovsk, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Kemerovo, Ufa, Izhevsk, Kaluga) and abroad (Minsk, Tbilisi, Kishinev, Nanjing).
