Rustem Khamitov delivered speech at "TEFI-Region" National Television Contest awarding ceremony

UFA, 25 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On November 24, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at the awarding ceremony of the fifteenth anniversary "TEFI-Region" National Television Contest, which was held in the "Bashkortostan" Concert Hall in Ufa. He thanked the participants for their professional and diligent work and wished them further success.

Greetings to participants of the contest were also sent by the Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev. It was said, in particular:

"The "TEFI-Region" is a unique platform for sharing experience, establishing professional relationships and cooperation between the federal and regional media. The contest is of great importance for the development of the information space in our country. It allows regional television companies to express themselves, thus from year to year its popularity and demand in the media community increases".

The President of the "Russian Television Academy" Foundation Alexander Akopov noted that the final stage of the contest was held at the highest level, and expressed gratitude to the leadership of our republic and personally to the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov for their assistance in organizing this event.

The "TEFI-Region" National Television Contest is a major television event of the year for the regional TV companies of Russia. It is held by the "Russian Television Academy" Foundation with the support of the Federal Press and Mass Communications Agency with a view to promote the most significant works and professionals in regional television. Bashkortostan journalists traditionally participate in the contest and often become its winners. This year Ufa hosts the final stage of the contest, which brought together about 150 journalists from 83 regions of the country.
