Bashkir writer is finalist of "Open Eurasia" International Competition

UFA, 17 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Bashkir writer and journalist Farzana Akbulatova was a finalist of the 5th "Open Eurasia"(OEBF) International Competition. Her story "Tere Tash" ("Living Stone") entered a short-list of the contest in the category "Literary Work". Farzana Akbulatova is the only representative of Bashkortostan in the prestigious competition; she was able to qualify among 1,400 colleagues and reached the final along with 55 fellow writers.
On November 26, the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will take place during the "Open Eurasia" festival in London. Traditionally, the book forum and literary festival involves authors, translators and illustrators from around the world. Authors reports and book presentations, round tables and meetings will be organized at the festival.
The organizer of the event is the Eurasian Creative Guild together with the Institute of Yunus Emre and Pro Art. OEBF-2016 aims to identify potentially successful works from a commercial point of view, in accordance with modern international literary trends.
