Bashkir «Zaman» ethno-show project prepares to perform in Riga
UFA, 26 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The Bashkir group from Moscow — «Zaman» ethno-show-project performs in Riga. The concert will be held in the Concert Hall of non-governmental organizations (42, Laymdotas str.) at 19.00 on November 15.
The Latvian society of Bashkirs "Akbuzat" invited «Zaman» to perform in Riga. This was announced by the head of the Tatar-Bashkir society "Chishma" Ramil Kadyrov.
ZAMAN was created in December 2013 by graduates of music schools of Bashkortostan continuing professional education in the best universities of Moscow. The main idea of the project is to show traditions of Bashkir folk music interpreting them in contemporary art. The project consists of six members: vocal -Elena Sozykina, kurai, kubyz player – Islam Ilimbetov, dumbyra and guitar player– Radmir Muftakhin, piano – Aidar Khamzin, drums – Alexander Popov. The group successfully performs at venues around the world. Among the achievements there is the 3rd place at the international competition «Turkvizion» in 2014, 2nd prize in the international competition «Suns Europe» in 2015, nomination for the first Prize of «Russian World Music Awards» in 2016.
