Larisa Gergieva will hold free master class for singers in Ufa

UFA, 23 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Larisa Gergieva, the famous Russian pianist and opera director, the People's Artist of Russia and Ukraine, the art director of the North-Ossetian State Opera and Ballet Theatre and the "Academy of Young Singers" of the Mariinsky Theatre will hold a master class in Ufa.

The master class will be held today, on September 23, at the Chamber Hall of the Ufa State Institute of Arts. Admission is free. Beginning is at 12.00.

Larisa Gergieva arrived in Ufa to work in the jury of the First International Fyodor Chaliapin Vocal Competition. The competition runs from September 20 to 24 in the framework of the 15th International Chaliapin Opera Nights Festival in Ufa. Larisa Gergieva has outstanding musical and organizational skills; she is one of the best world-renowned vocal accompanists, director and member of the jury of many prestigious international vocal competitions. According to the website of the Mariinsky Theatre, for her creative career she raised 96 winners of the All-Union, All-Russian and international competitions. Her repertoire includes more than 100 opera performances prepared for various theatres around the world.
