Bashkiria residents will be able to vote for their countrywoman - participant of "Grand Opera" TV project casting

UFA, 7 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. On September 7, the singer from Bashkortostan Diana Nurmukhametova will participate in the casting of the "Grand Opera" TV project. The single professional television competition of opera singers will take place at the "Helikon-Opera" musical theatre and will be broadcast live. Online voting will be held on the website of "Russia K" TV channel from 10.00 to 18.00. The residents of Bashkiria will be able to vote for their countrywoman.
The TV show is attended by professional opera singers under the age of 36. Along with Russian participants the singers from Germany, Austria, Mongolia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan took part in past seasons. The project features all singing voices: bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor, contralto, mezzo-soprano and soprano. The winners of the first three seasons of "Grand Opera" are: soprano Veronica Dzhioeva (2011, Russia), countertenor Vladimir Magomadov (2013, Russia), soprano Saltanat Akhmetov (2014, Kazakhstan).
The jury includes the director and art director of the Moscow "Helikon-Opera" musical theatre Dmitry Bertman; casting director of the Bolshoi Theatre opera Olga Kapanina; opera and theatre director Andrejs Žagars; the project conductor Denis Vlasenko and the editor in chief of TV channel "Russia-K" Sergei Shumakov.
As the press service of the TV channel "Russia-Culture" informs, the qualified participants will get to the main competition. Starting from the second program one of the participants with the minimum number of votes of the jury will leave the project. Three contestants will reach the final. They will compete for the winner title, which will be determined on the results of SMS sent by viewers. A live broadcast of the final from the Russian Bolshoi Theatre will be held on December 26.
