Ufa townspeople enthusiastically welcomed "Anna Karenina" staging by Vakhtangov Theatre

UFA, 6 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Ufa a tour of the Moscow Academic Vakhtangov Theatre is continuing. Today the stage of the Russian drama theatre hosted the second showing of "Anna Karenina". The story based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy, expressed by means of modern choreography, was enthusiastically welcomed by the Ufa audience.

Plastic metaphors by the director-choreographer Angelika Kholina, dramatic music by Alfred Schnittke, laconic scenography by Marius Yatsovskis gives the classic story a new, unusual interpretation. The costumes by Juozas Statkevichus, lighting designer works of Tadas Valeyka saturate the performance with necessary accents.

The lead role of Anna Karenina was masterly performed by Olga Lerman, who just a day ago played Tatiana in "Eugene Onegin". Dmitry Solomykin was in the role of Vronsky, Evgeny Knyazev - Karenin.

Tomorrow, on September 6, the Russian theatre features the scenes from "Uncle Vanya" by Anton Chekhov. The Vakhtangov Theatre’s tour in Ufa is carried out in the framework of the federal program "Big Tours".
