Ufa "Sauer" organ celebrates its 30th anniversary

UFA, 31 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. In Ufa an organ, which is called the king of instruments, celebrates its 30th anniversary. In connection with this, the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society named the new 78th concert season as "royal". Ufa residents will be able to attend the 10th International Festival "Sauerfest" and 28 organ concerts.

According to the press service of the Philharmonic Society, organists from nine countries will perform in Ufa: Latvia (Riga), Switzerland (Lausanne, Basel) and France (Bordeaux), Germany (Leipzig, Erfurt), the UK (Birmingham), Poland (Koszalin) and Russia. The Russian organ school will be presented by four cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Ufa. Among the musicians are five organ players. These are two Ufa natives - Elvira Yamalova and Elvira Khairutdinova and two Muscovites - Marina Voinova and Olesya Kravchenko and Alexandra Vaydlih from Switzerland.

The organ by the German company "Sauer" was established in the Small Philharmonic Hall in 1986. The instrument has more than one thousand pipes and is contained in special temperature conditions. The first performer was a famous organist and composer Oleg Yanchenko (Moscow). In 2013 a thorough reconstruction of the Ufa organ was carried out with the help of experts from Germany. Over 30 years more than 600 organ players gave performances in Ufa.
