New sculptures will appear in the historic centre of Ufa

UFA, 30 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. New sculptures will appear in the historic centre of Ufa in the pedestrian zone in Lenin, Pushkin and Zaki Validi Streets. They will be created by 13 artists from six countries (Russia, France, Japan, Bulgaria, South Korea, Georgia), who came to Ufa at the international symposium on sculpture in stone «ArtTerria». The event will take place in the Bashkir capital from July 1 to August 3. The symposium topic is: "Russia. Eurasian Space: Civilization and Culture". The event will be held at the initiative of the Miras Art Gallery with the support of specialists of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum, as well as the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan and Ufa administration.
The task of the symposium is to improve urban environment in Ufa with current town planning trends, to support the existing and develop new cultural traditions, to contribute to the art space of the city with works of art, to perfect aesthetic education of the population and form a new vision on the surrounding living space and to strengthen international contacts. The symposium will contribute to the promotion of contemporary art and will create another tourist attraction on the map.
The symposium supervisors are the sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, winner of Sh. Babich prize Ruslan Nigmatullin, the sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Honoured Artist RB Vladimir Lobanov and the member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Honoured Artist RB Rasih Ahmetvaliev.
As part of the symposium the Miras Art Gallery will host a small-scale sculpture exhibition on July 8.
