Rustem Khamitov has met with Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky

UFA, 24 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On June 23, a meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky took place. The sides discussed issues of culture and arts development in the region.
“The last few years we have been actively promoting the issues of formation and development of culture: we hold all sorts of festivals - large, medium and small; we form a common cultural background in our society”, said Rustem Khamitov. “In many ways, it is clear that Ufa and our republic become the centre of international and national events.”
Vladimir Medinsky said that cultural issues were paid much attention in the republic.
“Projects that are implemented in Bashkortostan, much be and should be replicated throughout the country”, the Minister of Culture said. “First of all, it is the project of rural clubs support. It was an idea to evolve exactly the Bashkir experience of such clubs organization into a separate program within the Ministry of Culture's budget. Unfortunately, under sequestration conditions since the end of last year, we were not able do it in such a way. However, administratively within the current budget, we are trying in every way to support and promote your experience.”
The Minister also gave high appreciation of the "Symphony Night" event.
“The "Symphony Night" is the second event, which we liked very much, and we began allocating the federal co-financing for it. Besides this year it acquired a new quality. It was supposed as a one-time concert, and has become almost a festival, which is visited by tens of thousands of townspeople”, said Vladimir Medinsky. “We hope that the Movie Night that starts this year, will also become a nationwide campaign as the Museum Night, Night of the Arts, Library Night. It is planned to hold it once a year, in late August.”
The meeting also discussed the holding of celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the BASSR (Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) in 2019.
