Ufa fairy tales collection of SCO and BRICS countries became "Best Book of the Year"

The collection "Fairy-Tales from around the World" released last year by the "Kitap" publishing house won the "Best Books of the Year" contest, which ended in Moscow in the framework of the "Red Square" International Book Festival. The Ufa collection was awarded in the "Best Book for Children and Youth" category. More than five hundred books published in different regions took part in the contest, of which the jury selected 73 finalists and were awarded prizes in 16 categories.
The "Fairy-Tales from around the World" collection was published in the Russian language and gathered under one cover translations of folklore items from states - members of the SCO and BRICS: it included, in particular, Bashkir, Russian, Kazakh, Indian, African, Brazilian tales. The book was published in 3,000 copies, and it is addressed to children of junior and middle school age. Compilers are Catherine Telina, Elena Aryamnova, Ruslan Manakov. The publication is illustrated by the works of the artist Arthur Vasilov. The publication was timed to the SCO and BRICS Summits held in Ufa last summer.
